Metzy’s began life on wheels. In 2014, we rolled out Newburyport’s first Gourmet Food Truck, with a bright blue, beach vinyl wrap. From day one, we served bold, taqueria-style street food to the people of Newburyport. At the time, the city didn’t have a clear path for mobile food businesses, so we had to fight through trial and error, late-night problem-solving, and plenty of persistence just to get off the ground. Those early days weren’t easy—but the community rallied behind us, and Metzy’s quickly grew from “that new taco truck” into a local favorite.
Metzy’s Cantina is located at the Newburyport MBTA train station, 5 Boston Way, Newburyport. We have free parking for guests adjacent to the building. Please park in Metzy’s marked parking only. You can also get here via the Clipper City Rail Trail, an easy walk or bike ride from downtown.
The 6-time BONS winner Metzy’s Taqueria Food Truck can be found around greater Newburyport serving award winning Mexican Fare and the truck is also available for Private Event Bookings. Book the truck for your next celebration or gathering. See you at the truck!
